A mix of warm season grasses best suited for sites with full
sun and well-drained soils. These grasses take about 1-2 years to fully establish
so think about seeding with a cool season grain. Cool season grains such as rye
grow most energetically during the cooler winter months, but go dormant during
the warmer months of spring and summer. This combination will allow for the
native warm season grasses to develop into a lush, strong, cover. Warm season
grasses provide imperative winter cover for wildlife.
