AMELANCHIER CANADENSIS (Shadbush) 32 ct. Tubeling
Description
A large shrub or a small understory tree with numerous smooth gray trunks. In fall the beautiful yellowy-gold foliage turns to orange and red. The name shadbush derives from showy masses of white flowers that bloom when shad are migrating upstream. One of the earliest blooming trees in spring. Purple to black fruit develop and attract many species of birds looking for a place to forage. Found in swamps and lowlands, often growing in clumps, but can also tolerate non-wetland conditions. Prefers full to partial shade.
