Description
Carex vulpinoidea, or Fox Sedge, is a fast-growing perennial sedge native to North America. It features fine, arching leaves and dense clusters of greenish-brown seed heads that resemble a fox€™s tail. Typically growing up to 3 feet tall, this sedge adds texture and movement to wetland landscapes.
Fox Sedge thrives in full sun to partial shade and tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, from wet to moderately dry. It is an excellent choice for rain gardens, bioswales, and erosion control projects. This sedge provides valuable habitat for wildlife and enhances water quality through its filtration capabilities.
