Description
Carex woodii, or Wood’s Sedge, is a clump-forming perennial sedge native to North America. It features graceful, arching green leaves and delicate seed heads that emerge in late spring to early summer. The plant typically grows about 1–2 feet tall and forms a dense, attractive groundcover in woodland and naturalized landscapes.
Wood’s Sedge thrives in partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soils, making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, rain gardens, and areas beneath trees.
