Where We Ship

We ship throughout the continental United States. The options available to you depend on where you are, what you're ordering, and your order total.

Getting Your Order

Option	Good for	What to expect
Pickup at the nursery	Any order	Pickups must be scheduled at least 2 business days ahead, Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm, at 323 Island Road, Columbus, NJ. Once your pickup is scheduled, you'll receive a pickup number; if you haven't received one, your order isn't scheduled yet. Your order will be waiting on the concrete pad outside our office, labeled with your pickup number. If you need help loading, or your order hasn't been paid, please stop in the office first.
UPS	Smaller orders of plugs and tubelings, with no minimum	UPS shipments must be scheduled with us at least 2 business days ahead. We ship by UPS Ground, Monday through Wednesday only. We can't pass special instructions or delivery times to UPS drivers, so boxes arrive around the time UPS usually delivers to you.
Pinelands truck	Orders over $1,000 within our delivery area	Our trucks arrive between 7am and 8am. Delivery dates depend on openings in our schedule, so book as early as you can. Please give us a contact person for the delivery.
Contract trucking	Large orders, or deliveries outside our area. Some orders can be palletized.	With at least 3 business days' notice, we can usually book a truck right away, and deliveries can be scheduled for a specific delivery window. Please give us a contact person for the delivery. Contract carriers are independent companies, not Pinelands employees.

We do our best to meet every delivery time, but weather, traffic, and other circumstances beyond our control can delay both our trucks and contract carriers.

Delivery Costs

Shipping costs depend on the destination, how the order travels, and what's in it. Deliveries on our own trucks are priced by mileage from the nursery. We'll give you an estimate with your order, and the final cost is set when it ships. If fuel prices rise unexpectedly, we may add a fuel surcharge.

Unloading and Waiting Time

Please plan to unload truck deliveries yourself, and have help or equipment ready when the driver arrives. For Pinelands truck deliveries, unloading is free for the first 90 minutes, counted from the scheduled delivery time or the driver's arrival, whichever is later. After that, a detention fee of $100 per hour applies, billed in full-hour increments. For contract trucking, any waiting or detention charges billed by the carrier are passed through to you at cost. If your order is on pallets, a forklift must be on site to unload it.

Missed Deliveries

If a delivery can't be completed, for example because no one is on site to receive it or there's no way to unload it, a redelivery fee applies to send the plant material out again. Any delivery and detention fees must be paid before the delivery can be rescheduled or new orders placed.

When Your Order Arrives

Look your order over on arrival and let us know about any problem within 10 days, as explained in our Refund Policy.

Changing Your Date

If you need to change or cancel a delivery or pickup, please give us at least 2 business days' notice. Changes made with less notice, or after your order has been pulled or loaded, carry a 25% fee on the affected items. If a contract truck has already been booked, any cancellation charges from the carrier are passed through to you at cost. You'll find all change and hold fees in our Terms of Service.

Plantra Products

Plantra tree tubes and other Plantra products ship directly to you from Plantra, separately from any plants on the same order. Please allow about 5 days from ordering for them to ship. Shipping is included in the price, and we'll send you the tracking information. If anything arrives damaged or short, contact us rather than Plantra, as described in our Refund Policy. Once we've placed your order with Plantra, it can't be canceled.
