Schoenoplectus atrovirens (Green Bulrush) 2" Plug 50 ct.
Description
Schoenoplectus atrovirens, or Green Bulrush, is a native wetland sedge commonly found in marshes, ditches, and streambanks throughout North America. It features tall, slender stems and clusters of greenish-brown spikelets that bloom in summer. The plant provides cover and nesting material for wetland wildlife and is a food source for waterfowl.
This bulrush thrives in full sun to partial shade in wet soils or shallow water. It is used extensively in wetland restoration projects for erosion control and water filtration. Its tolerance of fluctuating water levels and ability to stabilize soil make it a critical plant in riparian and wetland ecosystems.
