Solidago gigantea, commonly known as giant goldenrod, is a tall, native perennial found in moist meadows, wetlands, and along roadsides across much of North America. It typically grows 3 to 7 feet tall, with smooth, hairless stems that distinguish it from some other goldenrod species. In late summer to early fall, it produces arching clusters of small, bright yellow flowers that provide a critical late-season nectar source for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
