A ready-made pollinator meadow in a bag, this all-purpose blend of native wildflowers and warm-season grasses turns any open, sunny site into season-long forage and nesting habitat for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.

Mix Overview

Built around dependable, widely-adaptable pollinator favorites - purple coneflower, partridge pea, lanceleaf tickseed, showy tick-trefoil, and big bluestem among them - this mix is designed to establish readily across a broad range of upland sites and deliver overlapping bloom from late spring through fall. It pairs regionally common milkweed species for monarch support with a diverse forb palette that keeps a rotating cast of pollinators active throughout the growing season, all held together by a light structural grass component.

Application

  • General-purpose pollinator meadow plantings
  • Naturalized landscape areas seeking low-maintenance, high-diversity color
  • Habitat plantings where a broad, adaptable species mix is preferred over a site-specific blend
  • Educational and demonstration pollinator gardens

Growing Conditions / Specification Data

  • Light: Full Sun to Part Shade
  • Site Conditions: Upland sites; adaptable to average, well-drained soils
  • Recommended Seeding Rate: 15 lbs. per acre
  • Mix Type: Native wildflower and warm-season grass blend

Planting Guidance

Broadcast or drill seed into a prepared, weed-free seedbed in spring or late fall. Light raking or rolling after seeding improves soil-to-seed contact. Expect a mix of first-year annuals and biennials for early color, with the full perennial palette establishing by year two or three.

Please allow 3 business days for all seed orders.
