Built for continuous color from spring through fall, this mix keeps the bloom sequence going nearly the whole growing season while drawing in a steady rotation of birds and pollinators.

Mix Overview

Big bluestem and purple lovegrass provide light structure behind a heavily forb-dominated blend that includes common yarrow, blue and yellow wild indigo, purple coneflower, rattlesnake master, and Maryland golden aster, among others - a combination chosen specifically to stagger bloom time so the display never has a significant gap. Milkweed species are included throughout for monarch support alongside the broader pollinator value.

Application

  • Long-season color and pollinator plantings where continuous bloom is the priority
  • Meadow and landscape plantings seeking maximum visual interest across the growing season
  • Bird and pollinator habitat combined with high aesthetic value
  • Demonstration and educational plantings showcasing bloom succession

Growing Conditions / Specification Data

  • Light: Full Sun to Part Shade
  • Site Conditions: Upland sites; adaptable to average, well-drained soils
  • Recommended Seeding Rate: 15 lbs. per acre
  • Mix Type: Native wildflower blend selected for extended bloom sequence

Planting Guidance

Broadcast or drill seed into a prepared, weed-free seedbed in spring or late fall. Light raking or rolling after seeding improves soil-to-seed contact. Bloom coverage builds toward full continuity by year two or three as the perennial component matures.

Please allow 3 business days for all seed orders.
