Mix Overview

This mix draws on deep-rooted native grasses suited to the fluctuating wet-to-dry cycle characteristic of a rain garden, reinforcing infiltration capacity and providing structural backbone alongside a forb-forward planting like our standard rain garden mix.

Planting Guidance

Broadcast or drill seed into a prepared, weed-free seedbed in spring or late fall. Light raking or rolling after seeding improves soil-to-seed contact. Best paired with a forb-forward rain garden mix for a complete bioretention planting.
